A few weeks ago I posted about Brenda Jackson’s Seduced by a Steele, which I really enjoyed! So, I jumped at the chance to read the next book in the series. This is the 13th book in series, which is wild, such a long running series and I can see why readers have found them so fun and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a series to devour and keep your brain occupied I think this is a fabulous option.

My Thoughts
I’ve now read several billionaire trope romances and I think it’s not exactly my jam. Nothing against Ms. Jackson I have just realized that this trope just doesn’t do it for me! I have loved testing out these Harlequin Desire books since they’re short and can really give you a sense as to whether you’d enjoy a particular trope.
As far as the story itself, per usual with the Desire titles, I blew through this book! Although the length of these books leaves threads unfollowed or the conflict are quickly resolved, I cannot deny that this kind of quick consuming read is just what I need right now.
Overall, I really enjoyed the couple of hours I spent with this book and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series!
